FF PoleControl โ Master Your Swing for Total Rhythm and Control
Stop Fighting Your Pole’s Backswing
FF PoleControl eliminates the “pendulum lag” that wastes energy and disrupts
rhythm in every stroke.
Remember FF have 100 % satisfaction garanti! Or you get your money back even if you have used the
How it works: Adjustable elastic band guides your pole’s return
path โ perfect timing + safer group training.
Key Benefits
- Perfect Timing: Eliminates the “pendulum lag” โ plant the pole
exactly when and where you want. - Energy Conservation: Reduces wasted micro-motions used to
stabilize a “wild” pole, saving your strength for the push. - Group Safety: Keeps your pole tips managed and predictable,
preventing accidental contact with other skiers in mass starts or crowded lanes. - Adjustable Tension: Tune the “guided” feel to your specific
technique, from a tight, snappy return to a freer, light assistance.

Why Henrik Created This
As an inventor, I’ve always been obsessed with the “feel” of skiing. While I
solved stability issues on the ground with our V-Track rollerskis, I noticed a
recurring frustration in the air: the uncontrolled backswing of the pole.
I refused to accept that a skier’s rhythm should be dictated by an unpredictable
pole tip “snapping” behind them. I wanted a way to make the swing phase as stable
as the kick phase. After countless prototypes in our Horten workshop, I created
PoleControl to give skiers back their focus, allowing the pole to return naturally
and predictably to the hand every single time.
“FF Skis represents a new level of innovation in the industry, focusing on the
details that actually matter for the skier’s experience.”
โ Ulf Kleppe, Head Coach, Edmonton Nordic Ski Club
Henrik’s Philosophy: Reducing Unnecessary Strain
At FF Skis, my philosophy is built on reducing unnecessary strain โ whether it’s
the “road buzz” we eliminate with our Pro-series damping forks or the “swing chaos”
we fix with PoleControl.
I believe that equipment should work with your body, not against it. By adding a
controlled link between your forearm and the pole, we reduce the cognitive and
physical load of managing your gear, allowing you to train longer with less fatigue
and better joint alignment. Read more about Henrik

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is PoleControl primarily a safety device?
PoleControl is first and foremost a GROUP SAFETY innovation,
FIS-approved for competition. By controlling your pole's pendulum
swing, you know exactly where your pole tip is at all times โ
but crucially, athletes coming from behind can also predict your
pole movement. This prevents dangerous collisions in mass starts,
tight tracks, and sprint finishes. The patent-approved elastic
guidance system eliminates unpredictable "wild swings" that cause
accidents in crowded race situations.
2. How does PoleControl improve safety for other skiers?
When your pole swing is controlled and predictable, skiers behind
you can anticipate your movement and plan their passing strategy
safely. Without PoleControl, your pole tip creates an unpredictable
"danger zone" โ especially during fatigue when your technique
breaks down. FIS approval recognizes this as essential safety
equipment for competitive environments where athletes ski in close
proximity.
3. What makes PoleControl patented and FIS-approved?
FF PoleControl features patent-approved elastic guidance technology
AND is FIS-approved for official competition use. Our innovative
safety-focused design meets the highest international standards โ
protecting both you and surrounding athletes. As an official FIS
supplier, we've proven that controlled pole movement reduces
collision risk in competitive racing environments.
4. How much does PoleControl cost?
FF PoleControl is priced at โฌ29 with free shipping on orders
over โฌ500. As FIS-approved safety equipment with patent-protected
technology, you're investing in protection for yourself and other
athletes โ backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
5. Does PoleControl fit all ski poles?
Yes. PoleControl is designed as a removable clip-on system for
standard pole shafts including carbon, aluminum,
and composite materials. The safety system works with any pole
type โ mount on the straight shaft section for secure hold.
6. Will it change my technique?
It's designed to support a cleaner, more controlled swing path โ
most skiers adapt immediately and report better rhythm within
the first session. You can adjust tension and length to keep the
feel you prefer. The patent-approved system enhances your existing
technique rather than forcing a new one.
7. Is it allowed in races?
Yes, it is FIS approved
8. Is it for classic, skate, or both?
Both. PoleControl addresses pole swing safety in all techniques.
The FIS-approved adjustable tension lets you maintain full control
whether you're skiing classic's vertical plant or skate's dynamic
angles. Predictable pole movement protects everyone on the track.
9. Do I stop using my regular straps?
No. PoleControl works together with your standard pole straps โ
it's an additional safety layer, not a replacement. Think of it
as a seatbelt for your poles: you keep your normal straps and add
swing control for predictable, safe movement. Installation takes
30 seconds with no tools required.
10. Will it help in strong side winds
Yes, this is one of the key benefits of the strap โ it gives you better control in side winds.
