Arriving at Tehvandi Stadium

Pernille, Henrik, and Janis have become a tradition to travel to Riga by plane and directly pick up the rental car; after the expected amount of trouble with booking numbers, rental car options, etc, we are heading towards Estonia, Otepaä. #roadtrip

The FF Rollerskis Team, aka Henrik and Pernille, set out on this journey for the first time three years ago and are now on our third FIS World Cup round in Estonia as the Official Supplier of roller skis. We started with 60 Classic roller skis and an additional 400 Skate wheels for athletes’ private skis for use in Sprint. Coming back stronger every year, FF Rollerskis is now supplying 100 V Active Classic skis and 150 Active Skate skis!

Day 0 Preparation day

After traveling through deep forests and the occasional small villages, roadside cafes, and the night call, we finally see our destination emerging. Tehvandi Sportscentre is beautiful, bathed in soft lights. The peace and quiet are soothing after our trip, but we are eager to check our accommodation and the FF rollerskis delivered in advance, which are down at the stadium.

With our modest luggage of 6 big bags of equipment, two bags of private stuff, and additional handbags with essentials, the elevator was the apparent choice: checking in on the 3rd floor, all the way down the corridor, before entering our sleeping quarters for the next few days. We could not get a better room, relax, have a workspace, bed, and breakfast. And the cherry on the top: The roller skis were in their trailer at the stadium, perfect for distribution and control, and all our essential tools were already on location.
We did not waste time but got to work, and in the early hours, we finally got to bed ready for the tasks at hand in the FIS Rollerski World Cup round in Estonia.

Days of competitions

Take your positions, Ready, And we are on! The hours and days following are packed with races, athletes, roller skis, and” Kodak- moments.” The weather was perfect, sunny, and hot; the host, Kristjan Kulm, and the local club did a great job getting everything flowing. A special thanks to our helpers in the distribution and Hugo, who took me on a ride on his ATV through the track; an exceptional view and understanding of what the athletes meet.

With passion you get a long way; Include awesome rollerskis, determination and a few good people, you have all the ingredients of a typical FFskis approach on opportunities.

We are in it to win it! It’s a tremendous pleasure to be invited to cooperate with the various countries and organizing committees. Of course, last but not least, engaging with the athletes—who we get to know better with each event—is the highlight of our participation in the FIS World Cup Rollerskis.
